serving fish specialities (as tajine, alla plancha, from the oven or grilled).

The menu changes every day according to the fresh offer from the fishing harbour. If you choose to go to the restaurant, be sure to be seated in one of the private areas. The athmosphere is elegant, traditional and romantic.

The rooftop terrace at  Taros Cafe owned by Alain, a short walk from the port at Essaouira's main square, is the place for a sunset aperitif. There is even Moroccan wine on the impressive wine list. Musicians play traditional Gnaoua music most nights, and the menu features Moroccan and French specialties, such as magret de canard  and the pastry and pigeon pie called pastilla that's a specialty of Fez , and a huge variety of fish food too. But lunch on the terrace is as suitable as a drink after dinner too. It is the place to be to mix up with the interesting crowd of expats!
